Restorative Practices create safe, inclusive and caring schools where building positive relationships and healing harm are priority.
During this workshop we will explore a range of formal and informal strategies to both prevent relationship-damaging incidents from occurring and to resolve them if they do happen. We will cover the principles of Restorative Justice and its implementation in the classroom and school yard in practical ways that will work immediately. The interactive training will cover:
The Restorative Philosophy and how it differs from traditional classroom management methods
Relationship building skills including the use of circles to build community
Conflict resolution skills including restorative chats
Behavior development strategies
